Plain language, because that’s the whole point. This mirrors the Privacy & Data screen inside the app.

What we store

Google account basics — your name and email, from sign‑in.
Your verdicts and reviews — the hitts and misses you swipe, any review text you write, and problem reports or place corrections you send in, so scores stay honest.
Photos you choose to add — venue photos you upload are stored and shown on that place.
A notification token — a device id from Apple or Google so we can send you the “how was it?” prompt and account alerts. It identifies a device, not you.
App version and platform — sent with feedback so we can reproduce bugs.
Not your location — it powers the map and notices when you leave a place, matched on your device. We don’t save it on our servers. No contacts, no tracking profiles.

What we never do

Sell your data — we don’t sell or rent your personal data. Not now, not ever.
Import outside ratings — scores here are only real people’s hitts and misses, never pulled from other apps.

Text messages (SMS)

If you give us your mobile number, we may send you SMS messages about your account — sign‑in codes, approval notices, and service updates you asked for. We only message you after you opt in.

We never share your mobile information with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. No mobile opt‑in data or consent is ever sold, rented, or shared for anyone else’s marketing.
Message frequency varies and depends on your account activity.
Message and data rates may apply from your carrier.
Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Opting out of texts does not affect your account.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Where places come from

The place catalog is built from open community data — Foursquare Open Source Places and OpenStreetMap — not scraped reviews.

Who else sees it

Only the services that make the app work: our sign‑in provider, Apple and Google for delivering notifications, our storage for photos, our email provider, and Anthropic for the AI features (place and planning data, never your profile). None of them are advertisers, and we don’t share your data with anyone else.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account from inside the app — Settings → Account. It takes effect immediately: you’re signed out, you can’t sign back in, and your name comes off everything public — your verdicts, reviews and photo credits read “Member #N” from that moment on.

We keep a staff-only record of the account afterwards — the account details and what the account did. We keep it so we can investigate abuse and safety reports after the fact, so a block or a ban can’t be reset by deleting and signing up again, and so the crowd scores stay honest. It is never shown publicly, never shown to other members, never used for advertising and never sold. It is kept indefinitely and deletion can’t be undone. Want a copy of your data instead? Export it in the app — Settings → Account → Export my data — or email hello@worthitt.com and we’ll take care of it. If your local law gives you a right to full erasure, email us and we’ll deal with it individually.
